What is this?

What follows is a list of helpful instructions for getting on the Mefight Jabber server. This page currently deals exclusively with Psi; if you have an alternative client and which to post instructions for it, please go ahead.

Getting Started

Basic room information

--Group chat room information: conference.jabber.mefightclub.com.

--Room: ROTATO. citation

--NOTE: Message Stav to make sure you've been added to the jabber server. Best way is a forum whisper in this thread.

--Easiest way to find other mefights: add everyone in the room as a contact.

How to Connect with Psi

Niteowl's text guide, reproduced below.

1. Download the Psi chat client
2. Install it.
3. Run it.
4. On the menu, click General > Account Setup > Add
5. Type in whatever name you like in the field "Name:"
6. Click Add
7. In "Jabber ID:" type in the mefightclub.com account you got from Stavros (e.g. niteowl@mefightclub.com)
8. in "Password:" type: rotato
9. Don't worry about changing anything yet. Just click Save.
10. That silly button on the bottom right that says "Offline", click it, then select "Online"
11. On the Menu Bar click General>Join Groupchat.
12. For "Host:" use: conference.jabber.mefightclub.com
13. For "Room:" use: rotato
14. For "Nickname:" use: whatever you like
15. Click Join.
