Burnout Paradise
Burnout Paradise (formerly known as Burnout 5) by Criterion Games is the seventh game in the Burnout video game series. It was released in January 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and on February 5, 2009 on Microsoft Windows. It was also released on the PlayStation Store in September 2008 and via Xbox Live Marketplace’s Games on Demand in August 2009. It has an open world set in the fictional Paradise City.
The PC menus are annoying to navigate, since they’re pretty obviously ported from the consoles. Once you actually get into the game and start driving around, though, it’s a lot of fun. It feels like you can go really fast, and it’s got an arcade feeling that lends itself well to casual, fun racing. There’s an open world model (sort of) and it feels a lot like driving around in GTA, only there are no people walking around, no guns, and no cops. Lots of races, “survival” games, and rounds where you have to crash your opponents.

My favorite driving game basically ever. Fantastic console port, heaps of fun (once you get yourself and Xbox controller and plug it in to the PC), smoother than butter and beautiful. Did I mention it’s fun?
I love this game a lot.
